Hey PCG1!!

hows everyone back home? been attending cgs? =) i miss looking forward to saturdays and seeing ur faces every week! =( miss hanging out with u guys and having fun together. sigh.

uni has been ok so far. ALOT of work though. got lots of reading to do and assignments are starting to due next week! =( in a way its good cuz it keeps my mind off homesickness and time pass faster! then 8months wont be SOOOOOO long after all. hehe. cant wait to be home and seeing u guys again!!

Thank U SOOOOOOO much for the cardboard that u guys did for me! was sitting down and reading through all the notes that u guys and the other ppl wrote to me and it put a big smile on my face and reminded me that im so blessed to be part of this cg! thank u for all the notes u guys wrote to me! it meant ALOT to me! =)

ive been using the bottle u guys gave me too! everytime i use it, it reminds me of all of u. haha. and im praying for u guys when i do my quiet time! i havent use the body soap and butter thing yet though. but ill be using it soon! autumn is coming next month.

As most of you already know, our CG and a few others will be having a barbecue this Sunday (March 8th) from 6.00-9.30pm at DC.

And in case you haven't noticed, it has been raining and raining the past few nights.
Please pray for goood weather this Sunday! The slightest drop of rain could cause the bbq flames and what-not to fizzle out and we wouldn't want that, would we? =P

DBS Replacement

Hi peeps!

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. I'm sure I can speak for most of you that we all have been busy during this festive season. It's been holidays after holidays for me. Things are starting to settle down and although I don't like it, I need to get back into routine.

Anyways, as the title suggest, Discipleship Bible Study (DBS) is back!!!

This is especially important for those of you who haven't heard of DBS before. We started DBS a couple of years back. It's a bible study using a series of 5 books, that teaches and gives you the foundation of Christianity. We (XYZ) have already gone through 2 books (Getting Started and Christian Lifestyle) and will start the 3rd book sometime this year. Now, you have to complete the first 2 books before you can move on. So for those who missed classes from any 2 books or haven't even started the first book, these replacement classes are specially organized for you.

Take note:
The first 2 lessons of Getting Started will commence this Saturday (7th February 2009).

Time: 12.00pm-1.30pm
Venue: Room 201
Teacher: Mike Chang & Daryll Tan

I will announce the rest of the replacement classes as soon as I get the finalized timetable. For those who hasn't been through this, PLEASE GO! For those who have already gone through GS and CL, please check your books and find out which classes you missed. If you miss the replacement class, I have to personally replace it for you. Please don't do that to me!!! Hehe. Our sub-zone has collaborated to organize these classes for you guys so that everyone will catch up before we start the new book. So, please try your very best to make it for the lessons you've missed.

The title says it all... Thanks to two wonderful, ever-so-capable girls, we were served with a delightful, creative lunch. Of course, the word delightful is misused here. Sure the food individually were YUM! However, when it was served TOGETHER, it became... interesting. Haha. Those of you who were there would know what I'm talking about. Nonetheless, it was good fun. 5 course! (which those lovely girls lost count of in the end).

DECORATE OUR BOARD!

Woot woot!!! (I better hear you guys cheer if not I will smack your head!). Haha. Remember the board that every CG has to decorate for LOUD? It is due on the Saturday prior to LOUD (25th October 2008) at 5pm. That gives us 2 Saturdays to complete it. I know some of you might be thinking... "decorate only mah.. need so much time wan meh?". Well, my question to you is, have you seen one of Jeremy's designs?! Here it is:

See how complicated?! Yet cool. Hehe. We aim to create the globe so there's actually A LOT of work to do. (Think about rotan bending and paper sticking just to make something round).

Therefore, PLEASE BE THERE!

We really need all the help we can get! Joel and Jeremy is in charge of co-ordinating this whole thing so please also be submissive when they designate work for you to do ok?
No "yer... why I must do the cutting when she get to color?" sorta thing. We are old enough to handle responsibilities, right? :)

I know I was M.I.A. last Saturday and I truly apologize for that! But I'm sure you guys had fun with Kay Lee right? :)

Anyway, I believe you all have already been assigned to respective sections regarding the project that we are supposed to do. Just want to remind you guys that it's due on the 25th of September so that means you only have 2 more weeks to do it! I hope you guys have already started researching on Martin Luther. If not, please start NOW! >.<

So what are we going to do this Saturday? We will compile all your notes and then write our report. That means, cut-and-paste is NOT allowed! We can refer to the articles or cite from them. hey guys, happy to hear that you guys enjoyed the trip to Sunway (without me), heheh. FYI, I went to S'poreee.

school just re-opened today.. AND.. I'm hating it, like SOO much!

i just need MUCH MORE rest plus days to, erm, RELAX. uhuh! *wink*

It wasn't much of a holiday for me though.

I had 9 days of holiday, I woke up super mega early for 6 days, and I was lazing around in my friend's house during the other 3 days.

Jamie, look at junior! Ahaha, did you know that Nat has got a sister too? Well, the baby was dressed up like a girl so, i'm guessing its a girl.

But I REALLY enjoyed helping my momma out for the VBS thingy majigy. I still kinda have the theme song stuck in my head. Thats the kinda 'annoying' part. Ohh, ohhh! The kiddos there are seriously cute as pie? ahhaha.

Btw, mel and i prank called some dude. That was kinda mean, i know! Oh vells. I think i should say byee now. I've got hwk to catch up with & HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN MY SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER ROCKING BRIANNE! :)

The CG outing was such a blast for me , it was so incredibly fun.. The rides in Sunway Lagoon...was so fun.. 3rd August '08

On the 3rd Aug, Jamie,Rachel,Sarah,Jon,Joshua Teo,Brenda and I(Brandon) went to Sunway for the Passion Conference.The conference is totally awesome.Chris Tomlin was great, so as Charlie Hall.The worship was great too. Louie Giglio shared awesome sermons and stories. So I did took some pics which it isn't allowed to but who cares, everyone is enjoying the time of worship.Chris Tomlin lead the worship first and Charlie.Chris sang some familiar songs and Charlie sang some songs I've never listen before.Worship was awesome.then Louie started to share about a girl named Ashley from her journal which had turn out to be an influenced to the world and made into a book. The story was touching, it talks about the life of Ashley had turn from a very spoiled girl into a Christian girl. It has some humors in it as well. In the story there are few things, Cryster(known as Fruit Cake),bad words(mention as "Blank") and many more, well I wouldn't talk about the whole story 'cause its pretty long, I'll just say some parts. "Fruit Cake" actually is the one who lead her into Christianity by showing her some of Louie Giglio's sermons in DVDs. And Ashley emailed to Louie Giglio and he replied her, and he even posted her emails and about her on the blog , 268blog.com, go check it out. Although she has got into Christianity only for 3 months because she died in a car accident at age of 22 years old. I understand some parts of the story and some I don't. After sermon, Chris lead for the last set of worship for the conference. We sang my all time favorite Christian hymn, Amazing Grace( My Chains are Gone), it was great hearing that song in live version. After concert ends, Jamie send me and my sis, Brenda home. That conference is one of the best events in my life, I hope to meet Chris Tomlin in person in the future. Anyways the Passion team is heading to Jakarta on the 5th August,so please pray for a revival at Jakarta as we Malaysian also were prayed by Manila, the previous nation they had Passion World Tour. Oh yea, we are the 7th nation that Passion team has been to, so after Jakarta, they've got 9 more cities to go. So lets continue to pray for the Passion team to bring a revival to the whole world. God bless you all. =)

Babysitting...

...is not as easy as you think it is...

A week ago, Aunty Karen called and asked if I could babysit her kids for two days as she had to work. So I said YES since I am on holidays and they needed help. Besides, I get paid. ;)

It took me ages to get her to finish ONE page of writing.

Obviously, NOT helping Ewan with his piano. Heh.
I gave that up a loooong time ago. I miss it though. Sigh.

Anyway, since taking up this extra-money-making 'career', and since I have a lot of time to kill, I decided to read up on babysitting facts and/or tips.

And then it hit me, I am so not prepared to be a babysitter, let alone a parent!
Let me share with you why.

I went on this website and read up on babysitting basics. Here are the 3 most basic rules on babysitting:

Rule #1: Be Prepared
Make sure that you have all the emergency numbers (what is the number for the fire brigade in Malaysia? 999?!) and other important numbers at your fingertips (if you're talking about Uncle Jit and Aunty Karen's number, I HAVE IT).

Rule #2: Know What to Expect
Know the family and the neighbourhood. (check)
Know the kids you'll be babysitting. (check)
Know how many kids you'll be babysitting. (duhh.. CHECK)
Know how you'll get home. (erm...)
Eating(check), bathing(check), homework(check) and other fun stuffs(erm what fun stuffs?!).

Rule #3: Stay Focused on the Kids at ALL TIMES
(self-explanatory)
Last week, I sorta put on a video for Emma and took a snooze on the couch.
Well, I guess this rule doesn't apply in my case.

Hehe. But other than the rules that I have to follow, babysitting them can be fun as well.

After homework, Emma wanted to play so I played board games with her.

It was pretty easy so I let her win ;) Hee.

Then later, Ewan introduced us to his customized game. He made it himself! He reminded me of the days when my friends and I used to make up our own games in primary school.

Pray For The Nation....23rd-25th July....

We are now at a critical point in the history of our nation,where the decisions that we(and our leaders) make will either lift Malaysia to become a leading nation in the South-East Asian Region,or accelerate its decline,where destruction awaits at the end of the downwards spiral.Surely we do not wish for Malaysia to become another failed nation such as Zimbabwe(once hailed to be the Breadbasket of the African Continent,but now in turmoil and poverty) or Ethopia,where thousands of children starve to death daily....

I am sure there is no need to elaborate upon the recent events that have taken place in our nation...but there is one certainty.Repentance is necessary.The time is now.It is at this very moment that the realm of the invisible,of the spiritual,is being mobilized.The battle for the souls of man has intensified.I know this sounds like mumbo-jumbo,rubbish,but it is true.The spiritual realm is VERY real.Yet we repent not to any spirits or angels,but to God alone.

In view of the crisis,our very own Senior Pastor Dr Daniel Ho(of DUMC) has called for a churchwide fast+prayer.Not just ANY prayer that you say before you eat or sleep(not that those are unimportant),but INTERCESSORY prayer,that is,standing in the gap to intercede on behalf of the nation.Malaysia desperately needs God.He is our only solution in a world full of questions and uncertainties.He is the only one who can change the hearts of man,and bring true peace and freedom to the nations.

The duration of this fast will be from the 23rd-25th of July...although it involves DUMC,ANY members of other churches can join in the fast.

3 in the morning

Lately, I find myself up and unable to fall asleep in the wee hours of the morning. It's been driving me nuts and also, have made me succumb to the following:

Taking random pictures!

In which you'll see some of my obsessions. Hee.

Mainly, myself! Haha. Just kidding. They are just there to 'pose' with my main obsession: the stars :) If you've witnessed a meteor shower before, you'd understand why I'm obsessed with them.

Second obsession: the moon. Of course, they only, like, come in a pair. If you like stars, you'll like the moon too (well you better!). I gotta say that the moon has insanely bright and beautiful these few nights. Brings back memories for me... Hmmm :)

And very peculiarly, my rings. I don't know why, but I just feel 'naked' without them. With them on, I cannot stop my fidgeting with it by changing it from one finger to another and twisting it around my finger.

I know this is a random post but since SOME PEOPLE complained that it's dead, I might as well add something new. Take is as a get-to-know-a-bit-more-of-your-weird-cell-leader post. Plus, I really can't sleep! >.<>

As you can see, we were bored. So Aunty Tina and Soo Leng decided to play with Caryn's hair. If you notice how long her hair is, you'd feel like saying, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair..." Haha.

After those two were done with her, they decided to do my hair too.

Unlike Caryn, I knew how to utilize my time to the max. So ta-da. Me studying while they play with my hair. Haha. I look quite important right? So busy that people have to do my hair for me.

It is good to bring your camera along with you wherever you go so that you can take pictures like these of your friends *points up* and blackmail them with it later! ;)

I got a French braid, which was really messy. However, my 'lovely' friends lied to me and said it was alright and made me walk around college with it =.= Yeah.. That is why you take silly pictures of them so that you can get back at them. Hehehehehe.

Welcome to my life!

So... Last week was a killer week. I had mid term tests *BOO*. Oh well, it's over now so no use boo-ing. Anyway, my way of motivating myself to study (or rather to keep my mind off stressing about it) is to indulge myself in FOOD. Weehee.

Caryn and I decided to splurge a bit and stuff ourselves before studying. We ended up in Nando's cos Ms Li Mei was having her cravings again.

If I can swear, I would swear that this is the best bread EVER.

My meal- which I absolutely had no satisfaction over.

After that, the studying began...

I wasn't gonna pretend that I was studying like she did! >p

However, it wasn't long before we got bored. So thank God Nando's had some toys for us to meddle with. Hehe.

I was trying to do an "ACTIOOON" face but the second picture didn't turn out well.

We stopped studying when the rain came in the evening. Which was like 2 (or less) hours after we ate. Because it made us so sleepy that we decided to go home and nap. Haha. So much for motivating myself to study. Oh well.

So, on the way home right, there was a massive jam. Caryn and I were like puzzled at why everyone was jamming the petrol stations (yeah we're people who don't read the news). Later I found out why.

Petrol price went up by 78 CENTS!

OMG.

Yeah it doesn't affect you, but please go and comfort your parents.

At first, we were like 'Crazy people... I'm not going to join them in their madness'.
But...

There I was, at 9.56pm, queuing up for almost an hour to get to the Shell station outside my house, even though I got to cut half the queue, LEGALLY.

Thank God for laptops. I was watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. in my car :)

I only reached my 'destination' at around 10.15pm, and got home at only 10.30pm. Yeah it took me another 15 minutes to get my DX fueled up cos there was an internal queue =.=

Anyway, now everyone has to pay 78 cents extra for 1 liter of petrol but NOT ME. Cos I can use gas instead of petrol. Wahaha. The government think they can con me but I'm smarter than them! >p

I'm rambling already. You guys probably don't even know what I'm talking about. Hehe. I shall go now. I have another update so keep tuning into our blog (so that it won't be so dead)!

I believe that at some point of our lives, we have had thoughts about being a dancer. Haha. I'm crapping. But come on, when you watch movies like these, I'm sure you've thought, 'Sigh.. If only I'm like that...'. Well, if you have, I have good news for you!

Yeah.. I can imagine all your confused faces right now. Like ?!?!?! huh?! Hehe. Well, this is where I'm currently spending most of my evenings at. My hiding place, my solitary fort? Whatever.. Ok I will get to the point. I'm currently working for this company as an assistant/receptionist. My boss is a dance instructor. Cool right? ;) Anyway, how does this link to my point about aspiring to be a dancer?

(Here comes the real reason why I'm posting this)

For those of you who could relate to my sigh-i-wish-i-was-like-that thought, Skills Point is where you make your dreams a reality! Skills Point offer dance classes (duh) of all genre. There are yoga, hip hop and belly dancing classes going on right now. But if you are interested in other type of dances, classes can be arranged :) So, if you are interested in picking up a new skill, working out or just having fun, come to Skills Point! Or if you have any friends who are interested in dancing, spread the word to them! x)

It's 11.07pm. And I feel like going to bed already cos I have nothing better to do.

Well that's not exactly true. I have 3 assignments, 2 work files to update and 1 cg report to do. None of which I'm doing now. Instead, here I am, blogging. More like rambling cos I'm just plain lazy. Hee. Anyway, since no one likes to update *pffttt*, I thought I'll just tell you guys how my weekend went! :)

Saturday

As usual, I arrived at church around 1.20pm to set up the room for Youth Alpha (yes.. some people actually have to do that EVERY week *hints*). We were supposed to meet at 1pm, but for those of you who know the Angs well enough, our timing goes like this:

Being early = being on time.
Being on time = being 15 minutes late.
Being late = erm. Yeah I don't think I need to elaborate this one. Haha.

I don't know why I'm bragging about this... not something that I'm particularly proud of, but I'm working on it! >.< Oh, a little reminder, for those who have not submitted your forms, please remember to bring it and the money this Saturday ok? So after YA, sermon time! Surprisingly, I enjoyed this week's sermon. To be honest, I thought I was going to struggle to stay awake but I didn't. Hats off to Datuk Ps Kee! Remember, no judging! No matter what we think or what we know.. who are we to judge right? ;)

Yeah.. I sneaked out of celebration 15 minutes earlier cos it was PARTY TIME! x) For those who know Siu Fai, (actually, everyone knows him right? since he's our worship leader =.=) he turned 2-1 on Wednesday! So, we threw him a little surprise party at a park! Had to leave earlier so that we could gather and be there before him. The theme of the party was to be a kid once again. So we had party hats, masks, the blowy thingy, balloons, party poppers and a mini banner! How cool is that? Celebrate your adulthood by acting like a kid once again. Hehe.

Sunday

Woke up at 12.30pm. Ate lunch, then lied on my bed with attempts to study. Instead, I d r i f t e d off into lala-land until Mr. Daryll called and asked if I wanted rojak and cendol. It was 5pm then. I was literally sleeping in my sweat *grumbles against Malaysia's stupid hot weather* so I said OKAY! Yeah free food delivery :) After that, I attempted to study again; instead, I ended up watching Step Up 2 again! Haha. It was calling out my name! I just had to watch them dance. Sigh.. If only I was talented. Oh well... So, after dinner, I took my aunty's kakak to pasar malam and got my bubble tea! I was a good sister.. allowed Javan to drive since he got his license yesterday. Try to imagine how big my hand prints were on my seat. Haha. He wasn't all that bad. And now, here I am.

This post took me more than an hour to type. What a time killer! I'm going to do this more often! x) Hee. Anyways, to end off, here are some announcements:

1. We need helpers for the upcoming MCCC! I just received some news saying that the food department is pretty desperate! So anyone interested, please let me know. It was pretty fun helping out the last time round right? Let's do it! p/s: helpers get to attend the conference for free =p I think...

2. For those who hasn't confirmed your attendance for the Holy Spirit weekend, please go ask your parents ASAP! It's gonna be loads of fun so be there or be square. Haha. And remember to bring the form and money this Saturday! Last week to sign up!!! >.<

3. It's Brenda's birthday today (19th of May)!

I just needed to let that out...

I'm going to watch Switchfoot LIVE in concert on Saturday at KL Convention Centre! Woohoo!

This is going to be my first ever concert. I'm so excited!!! Am I jakun or what? Well, I've been to a showcase before... Doesn't really count as a concert cos there were only a couple of hundred people present. I got to meet the band though (yes!). Haha. I'm not telling which band cos I'm.. well, not exactly proud of it. At that time I was; but now.. heh. Oh well, at least this time, I'm going to see my favourite band live!

For those of you who have never heard of Switchfoot before, shame on you! Haha. Just kidding. But seriously, if you've never heard of them before, I urge you to download some of their songs RIGHT NOW! (your cg leader DID NOT just asked you to download songs online illegally). Some of their all time famous songs include Dare You to Move, Meant to Live and Stars. Some of MY favourite songs from them include On Fire and Learning to Breathe (most played song on my iPod). DOWNLOAD DOWNLOAD!!! :o) Good stuffs. I don't really know about the band itself but I LOVE their songs.

Anyway, just wanted to share my joy and excitement with you all. Pray that I won't die in a stampede this week ok? Hehe. See you all this Saturday! (if you come at 2pm, you'll see me. if you come after 3pm, I'll be gone =p )

hey!! got a urgent prayer item and really need all of u to pray with my family!!

my aunt is 6 weeks pregnant but experiencing some complications now. she's very scared and worried as she is having spotting now. basically she's scared she's gonna lose her baby. pls pls pray for her!! she's been waiting for this baby to come for a few years already. pls pray dat the baby is still safe and dat the spotting is just smth else. she's a non-christian but she has asked my family to pray for her. thanks people!! ur prayers are MUCH appreciated!! o yea!! n pray dat she'll be able to have peace of mind n good night rest. she hasnt been able to sleep well for the past few days. if this continues.. its gonna be bad for her health as well as her baby. thank u!

Embracing Year 2008

Seems like it was only yesterday that we ushered in year 2007. Time flew by so quickly that sometimes we don't even know how it went by. The first day of new years are often spent in reflection of the past. They are also spent in looking into the future, setting personal goals and visions, not to forget resolutions that we want to see achieved before a new year starts again. Most of us are pumped up for the new year, stepping out in determination of making changes for a better year. It is the same for our relationship with God as well. I am sure we want our relationship with our Heavenly Father grow deeper and stronger this year.

As much as we take pride in our new year's resolutions and goals, most of us, if not all, are often oblivious to the tendency of lapsing into our old behaviors and attitudes. Sometimes, before we know it, we are back to square one. Yes, setting goals and resolutions are a one-off thing. But running the race isn't. There will be times when we feel that it's not worth it. There will be times when we feel like giving up. There will be times when we start to question ourselves- the things we do and why do we do it. What then do we do? We stop at the 'petrol station' and we pump up ourselves. The only way to ensure 2008 is a victorious year for us is that we constantly go back to our roots, which is God. If there is one thing I learned in 2007 about my relationship with God is that living as a Christian is a daily surrender of my life to Him. It is to strip myself down to nothing and only have Him as my everything. Yes, it is easier said than done. But I believe that it is achievable. Taking a step at a time, surrendering to Him each and everyday, putting all trust and confidence in Him and living a life that is holy and pleasing before Him, we will be sure to see victories and breakthroughs in 2008.

Therefore, as we embrace year 2008, let us be sure that we start it off right, in our relationship with God and in aligning our focus and priorities. Let us be accountable to each other and help one another grow. With God watching over and constantly guiding us, I believe we will see growth both in our personal lives and as a cell.

not very nice..soweee..hehe..i had a great time in camp!!i had the greatest privilege to organize the DBS graduation!! it was pretty fun but stressful too!! to make the certificate was soooo difficult!!really tested my patience..haha.. >.<

came back from camp..was super duper tired!! for the past few days in camp been sleeping at arnd 1 smth 2 am then wake up 730am!! @.@ slept early n wanted to sleep until super late..but cant..why?? cuz its my PROM!!woke up arnd 11smth,pick up my dress then went to my friend's hse to prepare!! she blowed my hair,tie.. and it looked pretty good!haha.. her aunt help my friends and i make up then off we go to Imperial Sheraton Hotel!! =)

just came back from camp and kaylee is super duper TRIPLE tired!!!@.@ didnt sleep much in camp..sleep around 2 smth then gotta wake up arnd 730AM!!but!o well..haha..i woke up alil later..salute to brianne and isabel!!they actually wake up early to take a shower!!gals!i dont know how u stand the cold water!! =S *bbbbrrrrr* anyways,wanna encourage all those who went for camp to post ur testimony here!!i believe God spoke to u guys right?? =) we are family!n we should give thanks to God and share our joy with others!! =) love u guys!! will post mine soon! dont wait for one another! just POST!! ;)

Hey... Ya'll.. I just only came back from my school field trip..I went to 2 places... Which is : Gua Tempurung and Kellie's castle..... I went 2 Gua Tempurung 1st.. It was a total blast..I have 2 crawl thru tiny holes in the water and i have 2 slide down mud...It was really fun and adventures... I fell down when i was sliding thru the mud.. I got alot of bruises.. Everywhere my body..And it is very pain... I would love 2 go there with you guyzs.. i will be so happy.... I saw alot of statues.. Which is : Elephant, Monalisa , A pregnant lady, a dolphin, a frog leg, a Heart shape, A men sleeping in the heart.. Etc etc...Then, i went 2 kellie's castle.. It was really fun.. I get 2 see a castle... I'm happy that Malaysia have a castle... It belongs 2 a scotish man.. Dun know his name... haha... We should be blessed... Amen... Well, at least i'm back safely and in 1 piece... It actually was in Perak..

Hey!.... This is a very bad and sad news....!!! So, Here it goes!! I won't be coming for youth and dream centre anymore... After, FCS3 and the D'Race... I won't be seeing you guyzs anymore... Cuase i wanna go for Glad tidings youth church..And i was in that church since i was a baby.. So, i pray to God and tell him that i belong 2 1 church only ... which is Glad tidings... I know you guys feel sad.... So, I'm no more in PCG1 edi..... .. So, remember me!!!. Love you guyzs.. Will alwayzs remember you all.. hey everyone!!haha..i dunno what kinda title shud i put..=P nways!how have all of u been?goody good?ive been ok.skipped school a few days..goin to school tmr.hope i dont get into trouble!hehe..

i believe all of u have been getting calls n sms from ppl asking u to confirm with ur friends n all.haha..do try ur best to invite ur friends ya?especially non-Christian friends!!this event is the BESTEST BEST time to show them we christians aint a bunch of BORING ppl!but we're exciting,fun,creative and most of all serve an AWESOME n GREAT God who has given us all these gifts!!=) so yes!go go go!!=) dont be shy!the worst answer u'll get is a No!but dont give up!keep on praying!God will direct u!

1) MY SCHOOL CF RALLY!!its tomorrow!!the theme is NEVER STOP!means..never stop loving God and walking faithfully with Him!!its not about experiencing God only in camps,in concerts,in CF camps,but our relationship with God is a daily thing!and we can experience God EVERYDAY if we CHOOSE to!Amen?=) so yupz!pray for this event!alil last minute problems surfacing up but we wanna believe God's gonna do awesome things through this rally!=) pray for salvations and rededication of lives!=)

Hey!!!

How was CG on Saturday? Did you all miss me? Hehe. Well, I did! However, I did have a GREAT time in leaders' planning. Pastor Foo gave us the vision for 2008 and I can tell you that I'm very excited about next year! It's going to be a year of growth for all of us. God also challenged me to step out in faith. Something that scares me even at the thought of it, YET something I want to do because I know that the journey is going to be exciting and I will experience God in a whole new level : ) Just some things I brought home from the planning..

Anyway, I'm sure most of you have heard about FCS3 by now right?! ARE YOU EXCITED?! Cos (as you can tell by my capitalizations) I AM! Really... During the planning we discussed further about this event. We even got the name picked out! You guys will find out about it soon enough. Just want to encourage you guys to start inviting your friends NOW! This is the perfect opportunity to bring your friends to church without them feeling weird sitting in CG. Hehe. For those who were absent on Saturday, some updates:

1. Your friends will need invitations for FCS3. They will come in the form of SMS, email and post card. So if your friend does not own a phone or have an email account, they will still get the card. Invitations will be sent out during this week so be on a lookout : )

2. For those of you who have a and/or account, go to search and type Friendship Connection. There is an account set up in both Friendster and Facebook especially for FCS3. It will contain updates of FCS3 and also essential information for your friends. So log on and add Friendship Connection to your accounts ok? After that, invite all your friends to join the network too! Isn't it easier to pass the news around like this? Hehe.

3. Our CG will be running a stall on that day. We will be doing... *drum rolls*...

Haha. Ok.. Explanation: We will be having a mini dance competition using Play Station and the dance mats. I'm not going to give you all the details but I do need all the equipments- from TV to the game. So if anyone has an extra TV, PS1, dance mats and/or the game, please let me know ASAP ok?

Bangkok trip

Hey y'all!

(trying to sound like a rapper).. Haha. How have you guys been? Seriously, if it wasn't for me and Kay Lee, this blog can shut itself down. Where are the posts?! I'm sure that there are exciting stories that you guys want to share about right? What's holding you back? If it's laziness, then you got to pray hard because laziness is a SIN!

Anyway, just thought I'd share a little about my Bangkok trip. It was G R E A T! OMG. For a shopaholic like me, that place is like heaven. I was there for 4 days and 4 nights. My uncle and his family came from Hat Yai and met us there. Got to see my little cousins!

The best part of the trip was, our shopping was sponsored! Woohoo! Went crazy over there. Well, not entirely. We (mum and I) were given a certain amount of money to spend. Which was quite a lot. And I was all excited on the first day. Guess what? By the third day, we were topping up our own money.. Just imagine how cheap were the things there! Let me give you a scenario:

* Jamie walks into a shop and takes a look around *

* Jamie: Excuse me, how much is this? *

* Shopkeeper: 120 baaaaht. Buy 3, 100 baaaaht. (they emphasize a bit on the As) *

* Jamie starts picking even though she doesn't like it very much *

Now, that is just ONE instance. Imagine that, but like multiply it 10 times. Probably more. Haha. Anyway, it was definitely a fruitful time, not only shopping-wise but also in the times spent with my relatives. I found out that my aunty is cool! Mainly because she's kinda young. Hehe. hey!!wat happen to all of u??quiet dwn already??how come no post for soooo long??dont tell me nothing interesting happened??u can talk about ur exams??how God helped u or smth??why no updates??sigh..*shakes head* well..its me again!!i think u guys are gonna get bored of reading wat ive been up to so PLEASE post SMTH!!lets start!!

for the past 2weeks been having exams!it was horrible!!stress stress stress!!=S hope i did well though..kinda worried..cuz i need this results to apply to college!!wat if i do badly?die?dont worry!!everythin is in God's hand Amen?so yupz..my aunties said i lost weight!no!!i gained weight!ate alot during the exam period!haha..chocolates,ice cream..mmm...nice!haha..just cant resist!=P n mooncake festival fell on the week of my exams..hhmm..i was all stressed up!no harm taking a few hours break right?guess wat??i went to walk around my neighbourhood with my little cousins with our lanterns!haha..nice!remember my good old days..*as if im DAT old* then we ended up in da playground!we started playing!!da swing,everything!!even my aunt n dad played!!haha..dat was how crazy we were!!had loads of fun there!!havent played in a playground in ages!!>.<>

before exams..wat was i up to??my dear brother,hoie chew came back for summer holidays!!happy!!miss him lots!!haha..had lots of fun catching up with him&all.hehe..=) went to Pulau Redang with my family!!nice place!!

Cambodia Mission Trip!

Hey everyone!

How has your week been so far? For those of you who weren't at celebration on Sunday, you missed out so much! It was awesome! The place is really magnificent! But the sad part about it is that it's so big that it is impossible to spot people. Unlike DSP where you turn and you can see so many familiar faces. DC is like.. "WHOA.. I didn't know so many people exist in DUMC" kinda thing. Haha. Anyway, whoever that was absent on Saturday, just thought I'd let you know that our CG will be meeting in room 202 from now on. It is (obviously) on the 2nd floor of block A, where our auditorium is. If you get lost this coming Saturday, just give me a call ok? : )

Anyway, enough said about last weekend. As mentioned in the title, this post is about my Cambodia mission trip! For those who didn't know, I was in Cambodia from the 6th-13th of August. It was a BLAST! Really saw God working through each and everyone of us. Here's a picture of the team:

If you guys have been in XYZ long enough, you would realize that 50% of my team members are leaders in XYZ. The other 5 were randomly picked people. Actually, not random. I believe it was God who brought us all together. Sure, at the start it was a little weird because we have no idea each other existed. But as time passed, we really bonded and it was a real blessing being the same team as them. Each of them have their own gifts and talents that were needed in the team. Let me give you the gist of what happened throughout the 9 days that we were there.

On the first day, upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, we were greeted by our missionary, Yin Meng, who immediately 'shipped' us to a village called Kampot.

The main focus of our mission trip was to reach out to the youths. At Kampot, we (sort of) conducted a youth camp for the very first time. We had a crowd of over 60 youths who came from different villages. Practically everything was new to them as that was the first time they even heard of a youth camp. For some of us, it was the first time we taught/preached. So, it was like a time for both parties to 'test the waters'. Throughout the 2 days, every one of us had a chance to teach/preach. But the highlight of this camp (in my opinion) was the telematch we did in the afternoons. Although we played the simplest games with them, we could see that they were really enjoying themselves. The joy on their faces were indescribable : )

At the end of the camp, 3 people gave their lives to Jesus!!! We are glad that we had the opportunity to, at least, sow a seed in the lives of the those who are yet to make a decision for Christ.

The next day, we were transported to another village called Baray. Baray has a more established church and a large youth group. There were 110 HUNGRY and PASSIONATE campers already waiting to hear the Word of God by the time we arrived. Aunty Esther was the 'person-in-charge' of the ministry in Baray. We were immediately put to work as soon as we arrived. The next few days were hectic. We had to sit in for every session so that gave us no siesta time. Even when we had time, Aunty Esther would arrange for us to go somewhere. Which was fun actually. We went on a horse cart and a cow cart. Interesting rides... Should only be experienced ONCE in your lifetime though. (If you look close enough, you would be able to see two of our beloved leaders 'syok sendiri-ing' on the last cow cart. Haha)

Anyway, the last day of the camp was a youth rally. In order to prove how passionate the Cambodian youths are, let me tell you the statistics of the turn out. There were 110 campers and 573 NEWCOMERS!!! And these aren't just newcomers, they are NON-CHRISTIANS! It was really an overwhelming sight to see trucks after trucks loaded with people arriving at the church. Some people even sat on the top of the truck to get there! It was an evangelistic event so we did a dance and drama. Troy was our anointed speaker for the rally. (For those who have not heard him preach, you really should. He's a preacher in the making!) After the word, Troy gave an altar call and GUESS WHAT? More than half of the newcomers made a decision for Christ!!! Heaven was having a massive celebration for all the souls that were added unto the Kingdom! And we were so grateful to God for giving us the opportunity to be part of it : )

The next day was a Sunday. Individually, we went to different churches to preach. It was a nerve-wrecking and faith-stretching experience for me. As I stepped into my first church, I saw 30 children and (only) 10 adults staring at me. I was telling like, "God... How am I going to preach a 3-point sermon to the kids?!" On the spot, I started praying in tongues, while they were still worshiping, and asked God for a word for them. It was truly a moment of total reliance on God, which also eventually became my topic. Hehe. I trust that it was God's word in season for them. Later that afternoon, Sara and I traveled with our interpreter on a motorbike to our 2nd church. This time, I got to preached my prepared sermon so it was good. (Not going to elaborate further as I think this post is getting lengthy.)

The last 2 days of my trip there was excellent! That's because it's our REST and RELAX time already. And that means sight-seeing (a little) and SHOPPING for me! Aunty Esther took us around Phnom Penh. We went on a river cruise, we went to the Russian market and also to the central market. Loads of CHEAP things to buy but we had very limited time. In spite of that, we managed to buy lots (at least Sara and I did). Hehe.

After that, it was home sweet home for us. During the flight, Troy was going on and on about whether there would be people holding 'Welcome Home' signs waiting for us at the airport. Well, God knew the desires of his heart and granted him what he wanted. As we walked out of LCCT, Christine, Jared, Lydia and Rachael were outside holding up signs that says stuff like "You smell of Cambodia". It was indeed a pleasant surprise.

All in all, the mission trip was a blast! It was also a glimpse of what God can do through us if we allow Him to work. I urge you guys to go for at least ONE mission trip in your life. It will truly change you. One thing that will stick with me forever is the passion I see in the Cambodians. Despite their deprivation of even the basic things in their life, they still have a genuine faith in God and they TRULY hunger for Him. If they are able to rejoice in all circumstances, what more ME? Me who is blessed with so many things in life.. Something to really think about for me and I hope, for you guys too.

Anyway, I have gone on long enough. Hopefully you were not bored by it. Instead, I hope you were blessed, as I was too. This trip was an eye-opening experience for me. And I'm anticipating more opportunities to go out and serve in the mission field again! Alright. Bedtime for me. See you guys on Saturday! Be prepared to learn more during DBS! : )

What happened to our blog?! Who is the mysterious person who changed the entire layout?! REVEAL YOURSELF! Haha. Actually, to the person who changed it, thanks! I really like the PCG1 thingy at the top. However, please add back the chatterbox : ( I like to read all the nonsense my dearest members write there. HEHE. And please add color to the background? Actually I can do it myself (I think) but I'm lazy. Wahaha. SORREH! Anyways, I'll post about my mission trip soon ok! So look out!

Oh by the way, announcements:

1. Prayer Drive on 31st August (5.30-10.30am)
There will be a prayer drive after morning prayer so all of you are strongly encouraged to come! We will be driving around your schools (in buses) to pray so this is a GREAT opportunity for all of us to come together and pray for God's presence to linger in our schools and also for your teachers and friends who are yet to know Christ! : ) So please let me know (by 12pm on Wednesday) whether you can make it or not. Oh and if anyone cannot make it for morning prayer, just make sure you are at DSP by 7.20am ok!

2. Super Saturday!
As you all know, this week will be our official opening of Dream Centre!!! WOOHOO! I don't know about you, but I am REALLY excited about this. It is finally done! Anyway, just a gentle reminder that this week's Super Saturday will be held in Dream Centre. We're going to have an orientation (pretty much telling you about the 'history' of it and also giving everyone a tour). So, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!

Time: 2.30-4.30pm
Venue: Hall 3, Dream Centre (Duh!)

Don't be late or you'll miss the tour and probably end up wandering around and getting lost. HAHA! Alright.. Hope to see you on Friday, if not Saturday! Have a great week ahead! : )

Hey!...... Sorry i didn't come for the DBS thingy yesterday....on sat....cause i went for a Dance Competition at the securities comission...was really cool.... Alot of school went fo rthe dance competition..if you want to see my school dance....go to ...... www.youtube.com... and type...HSM dance competition....haaha.. I have to liek stay in the Auditorium from 10:00 am - 6:OO PM....so cold...MY SCHOOL ROCKS...
